How do you guys feel about trends? To me, they’re something I can never decide about. As a teenager, I did my best to avoid anything mainstream – and, back then, skulls were reserved for the rock and punk crowd. They were outrageous – and so were biker jackets, distressed jeans, safety pins, stacked leather & metal bracelets and military boots worn with skirts, i.e. everything I liked. And here we are in 2013 with all these being fashionable and adored. I’ve worn this sweater three times already, and every time I got comments on how trendy it is. I don’t know, I just wanted something a bit edgy to pair with lace dresses like this one for contrast. I didn’t realize I was so spot on until I saw it in pictures: burgundy, cropped, with skulls and crosses – everything that girls love these days. And you know what? It’s a great sweater.

The sweater works wonderfully with the floral dress :). I liked skull prints better when they weren’t so mainstream..that kind of clothes were really hard to find back then…

I’ve been always like you when it comes to trends, so when something I love is “in” I take advantage of it and buy as many of those things as I can for when they are “out” and you can’t get them as easily.
