The watercolor dress

I didn’t think I’d want another floral dress when I entered the store that day (I’m using temporal ambiguity to make the story more captivating, ok?). I was browsing through the sales section when I saw it – cute print and colors, I thought. The stars weren’t on our side, though – it was a size larger than what I wear. But I thought I’d try it on anyway, and it’s a good thing I did – having an elastic backside, the thing fit just right. But were other inconveniences as well: the straps needed some stitching and the top two buttons were missing. Sales season is war season, that would explain why someone would treat this poor dress so badly. Here it is now – oh, and did I mention it has pockets?
