Uttu – City dwellers
Miss Moss posted about Uttu recently and the crowd went wild – with the crowd being yours truly. The Istanbul based fashion label is all I ever wanted in a fashion label. The spring-summer 2012 collection features a number of nine items, available in a few variations each. But the thing is, each of these nine is absolutely amazing. I found two favorite dresses in an instant (Jale and Sade), but it’s impossible to decide which color is the prettiest. More than just pretty clothing, the lookbook is wonderful to gaze at: it looks completely natural, with the models as “city dwellers”, waiting for the bus, locking the door, checking the phone, grocery shopping, eating a pretzel – all the trivial stuff that rarely appears in a fashion lookbook. This makes the clothing seem even more wearable, since it gives them context. It’s a pretty stunning collection, so I’ll leave you with a picture overload.
