Weekend getaway
This weekend was dedicated to Porolissum, the remains of a Roman settlement, about two hours away from home. It was a gathering of many people, including friends and including visitors of the local festival. You could see people dressed up as Romans, Dacians or Huns, you could eat Roman food and get ancient-inspired souvenirs. Or you could hang around the tents and the campfire, go look for goats, wells and blueberries in the forest, play cards or whatever else people do when 3G signal is low. I’ll leave you with some pictures from the weekend and with my own hope that I’ll have an outfit post pretty soon.

Oooh, I wanna go to that! I just googled it and the fort is in astounding condition! When I lived in England, the community center in my town was built on the remains of a Roman fort, but the only thing left were these funny lumps in the middle of the field.
Anyway, sounds like a fun weekend :) You took some great pictures and I like the list of activities you can do “when 3G signal is low.”
they were rebuilt over the original thing, which I guess explains the good condition. the original structures were amazing, though!
Se pare ca v-ati distrat de minune.
Rusinica mie ca n-am ajuns inca sa vad ruinele de la Porolissum…
Imi place accesoriul de pe cap.
:D
it looks like you had a lovely weekend! :)
Nice! I like your Roman style headscarf! In my neighbourhood last year there was a Roman market going on for the weekend, with all the sellers dressed as Romans. I can imagine it would be even more fun outside of the city though.
