All Hollow: A new magazine coming your way
Well, not everything about this magazine is new – just the print issue #0, about to be launched this week. All Hollow has been in the online world for a year, a collaboration between New York and Bucharest editors. The magazine is in English, following the desire to promote local and international artists that are relevant to the Eastern European space. Fashion, film, literature, design and music are some of the main topics of discussion for All Hollow. This is an exciting initiative, as we all know we don’t have enough such magazines in Romania – and especially one that is witty and insightful, promoting authentic talent.
The printed pilot issue of All Hollow will be distributed together with “older brother” DOR #9, the summer issue. More about the event here. As for the cover lady, Monica Barladeanu, I had little or no interest in her – until I saw her in Despre oameni si melci – a movie I’ve recommended before and will do it again. So I welcome this cover, as well as the editorials inside (the model in the second picture below is Veronica Pascu, who appears in a nude editorial in the magazine).
