Making plans

I’m an avid plan maker. One time, when I was unemployed and with a lot of time on my hands, I decided that I’ll assign one hour per day to each of the things I wanted to do: one hour crafting, one hour guitar playing, one hour learning Swedish, one hour drawing, one hour job hunting, and so on. It was so unrealistic, that I quit in a few days – who wants to have everything so delimited, what about mood and free will? However, planning and self-imposing can be useful sometimes: working from home without many deadlines, I know I won’t get any work done if I don’t make my own schedule and stick to it like I’d have an actual boss.

In blogging, I often try make plans and announce them, thinking that this way I will stick to them. Like that one time, when I decided to start a new section on street style, and then never continued. I really like making sections on the blog, they give me some guidelines when I feel uninspired. But, very often, they become boring after a few “episodes” and I’m not having fun making them. And that defeats the whole purpose of this blog, right? I gave up on Moody Monday, because the posts didn’t inspire me anymore, but I can’t say if it’s forever. I might want to change it into a section for visual comparisons, but who knows how long that will last (plus, those take a lot of time and effort)? Other plans include giving blog loving a makeover, making more style files (any suggestions for shows with pretty clothes?) and maybe more tutorials.

And now comes your feedback: how do you cope with blog sections and posting (if you’re a blogger)? And what would you like to see more or less on Kittenhood?
