DIY: easy ice cream

Last summer, I tried to make some strawberry mousse. At the time, I didn’t know that without a mixer, it wouldn’t become mousse. So I got this liquid, and I decided to freeze it. The result: delicious ice cream. Unexpected, but still awesome! This summer, I’ve tried the same recipe with sour cherries – since I had them around – and the result is absolutely delicious. You wanna know how to make your own?

What you need:

  • 1 cup fruit
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • plastic cups
  • blender

First thing you need to do is take out the kernels from the sour cherries. Put the fruit into the blender (including all the juice resulting from the previous step), together with the egg white, and mix them.

Next, add the sugar and blend again. Pour the content into plastic cups, as many as necessary. Mine was enough for 4 cups. Freeze overnight  – I covered mine with aluminum foil, so that they wouldn’t catch any funny smell/taste from the freezer. You’re done, enjoy!
