My favorite trends for spring
A new season is here, which means a bunch of (more or less) new trends are showing their heads. I already made a spring trend wishlist a year ago, and one for fall, and it’s now fun to look at them and see what I did and didn’t get, what I still like and what I’m over. That’s why I decided to make another wishlist for spring 2012, with some of my favorite trends for this season.
Lace dress – Pull&Bear; Handbag – Topshop; Pumps – Swedish Hasbeens; Clutch – Swedish Hasbeens; Necklace – Etsy; Blouse – Monki; Black and mint dress – Dorothy Perkins; Glitter sandals – Miss Selfridge;
Oh, mint! Where has this color been all my life? It looks great on everything, from shoes and bags to dresses and coats. Plus, it goes well with other pastels, with metallics and with neutrals! I know the shops are full of this color, but I cannot stop from wanting every item… just because it’s mint. And you know what? I think the color would look pretty damn good with my eyes ;)
Shirt – Zara; Shirt – Modcloth; Shoes – Rocket Dog; Bracelet – Etsy; Dress – Modcloth;
Eyelet embroidery used to be reserved for little girls, but thanks to Louis Vuitton’s SS12 collection (you know, the one with the candy colors and the carousel), it’s back in the spotlight. Thank you, LV! This floral embroidery is so light and delicate, so breathable for the warm days. It’s more subtle than floral print, but not quite as simple as monochromes. It looks lovely in white, and while I’d most definitely want a shirt or dress like this, I have to admit it looks great on heels, too.
Black dress – Tina R; Eyelet dress – Chicwish; Art Deco Dress – To Be Adored; Floral dress – Modcloth; Peter Pan collar dress – Dorothy Perkins; Coral dress – Modcloth; Pink dress – Topshop;
The shirt dress isn’t something new, but I love the styles that I see everywhere this season: closed collar, buttons to the waist, and an ample skirt. It’s what I like to call the “housewife dress”, nominating Betty Draper, of course. I think it’s the type of dress I could wear on and on and on, especially since it looks so nice layered with a sweater, belted, or under a trench coat.
I’m really curious to know what your favorite trends are this season!

I love everything in the mint section – especially the topshop bag :)
