Kittens with mittens
This is not another cat-worshiping post, nor is it related to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (if you watch the show, you know what I’m referring to). It’s about one of my latest discoveries in the handmade/crafting field, Kittens with Mittens.
The designer, Mariet, is living in Cape Town, and she makes the most terrific embroidered brooches. She mostly makes animals, and you might have guessed that the foxes are my favorites. But to tell you the truth, I can’t believe how beautiful and carefully crafted these particular foxes are – look at those faces!
Her line is actually called Poncho, but I’m really into the kitten-with-mittens word game. The blog also has a small section for shopping, which you can check here.
Do you love them? I mean, what’s not to love: the portrait of a cat in a monogram sweater, the fox in a lace collar, the profile of an elegant pigeon… Amazing is what they are!
